What Size Should I Buy?
We endeavor to design our products in a way that is durable, stylish and will feel great while you wear it. There is a general size description for each product, and we give you dimensions of the model wearing the product, and the size they’re wearing, to allow you to compare. If you are still unsure what size to order, drop us an email at
hello@blueandyellowproject.com and we will be happy to help.
Are There Special Care Instructions?
So glad you asked! One of the most important steps we can take in ensuring that we as consumers are working on a more sustainable future is how we wash and care for our clothes. B&Y clothes are all built for the long haul, and how you care for your clothes will help ensure these items go the distance. First, always only wash your clothes when it is really needed. One wear to the grocery store does not (under normal circumstances) warrant a wash. Seriously, wash only when needed! When you do wash, wash with cold water. It takes natural gas (yikes) to warm up water so cold tap water is best. Use an environmentally safe detergent! After the wash cycle, line dry your clothes. Not only does it save a ton of energy (think about what the sources of your electricity are – likely a brown source) but it actually prolongs the life of your clothes. Drying in a standard dryer is rough on your clothes. Give them (and the world) a break and do your part.
Where Are Your Products Made?
An important question which led us to create the #knowyourlabel campaign. We strive to fully live by our other creation #continentallycrafted mantra as much as possible. Our recycled yarn is, currently, being spun in Spain though we continue to work with our partners and seek new partners to source our yarn in North America (this has been our biggest frustration!). However, for our knit products, the yarn is knit into an exclusive fabric you will only find with B&Y and cut and sewn in Toronto, Canada. Our deadstock products are sourced, cut and sewn in Los Angeles, California. And our knit socks are woven and produced in North Carolina. We do everything to make sure that our pieces, down to the thread and buttons and zippers, are all sourced in North America.
